Academic and Scholarship Programs
“The Voice", Inc. Academic Scholarship Programs promote, inspire and encourage higher education for all students.
Our program provides academic, material and financial support to potential candidates of higher education. It supplements school programs and provides parental support for students to pursue higher education.
The goals for the program are to supply resources for students through Academic Assistance, Community Outreach, Career Counseling and Financial Support.
"The Voice", Inc. is committed to making higher education achievable through:
a. Tutorial Assistance Program
b. Providing SAT and Pre-SAT preparatory information.
c. Assisting students in preparing for standardized and scholastic tests.
a. Providing mentoring and guidance to students.
b. Encouraging higher education through family support.
c. Providing brochures and internet links for additional scholarship information and useful higher education web sites.
a. Providing pre-college calendar and events to students and parents.
b. Advising on extra-curricular activities that are valuable for gaining college admission.
c. College admission education sessions with follow-up for both students and parents.
a. “The Voice”, Inc. scholarship is awarded each year based on financial needs, academic excellence and other considerations. The scholarship is renewable each year up to four years. The Scholarship Committee determines the amount of the scholarship based on available funds earmarked for the program. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, religion affiliation, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

Over the past 13 years, the scholarship program has awarded $222,350.00 to 173 students who all attended the institution of their desire throughout the United States.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY AND PROCEDURE
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Post high school secondary education (including graduate school)
- Full-time students (12 units or more per semester)
- 3.0/4.0 or 3.75/5.0 overall Grade Point Average or higher (must be maintained to keep 4 year eligibility)
- Demonstrate leadership and/or educational drive and financial need
- Submit a completed type written and signed application form
- Submit a 350 word minimum type-written essay.
- Submit a sealed copy of current school transcript (as of December of previous year)
Submit two letters of recommendation on an official letter head and address to “The Voice”, Inc. Scholarship Committee. (Note: Letters of recommendation from relatives as well as reuse of previous letters of recommendation are not acceptable)
- Plan to submit your packet 10-14 days in advance of application dedline which is April 15, 2018.
